The Standards of Practice of THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HOME INSPECTORS have long been used as the basis for all reasonable professional standards in the home inspection industry. Virginia DPOR has largely based its voluntary State Certification program on the thoroughly detailed Standards of ASHI (www.ASHI.org).

RW Huntley Home Inspection, LLC. began years ago with certification through ASHI and maintains its ethical and performance standards according to ASHI member requirements. Like many professions we choose to keep an annual schedule of continuing educational credits to offer the best possible service.

Robert W. Huntley is President of the greater Virginia chapter of ASHI (since 2007).

Unlike home inspection, working as a RADON professional cannot be done without proper accreditation. The Environmental Protection Agency has approved several private organizations to certify and regulate organizations and individuals.

RW Huntley Home Inspection is certified by the NATIONAL RADON SAFETY BOARD as a Radon Measurement Specialist. This organization provides screening, testing and monitoring of continuing education credits for its members.

Qualifications to properly inspect a home are primarily based on training and experience. Additionally, we feel that background is part of the equation. In addition to ongoing relationships with ASHI and the NRSB, we currently hold a Virginia State General Contractor's License.
	We particularly enjoy working for first-time home buyers. The opportunity to provide the attention and information to help with this important buying decision is gratifying. Mr. Huntley specializes in clients such as architects, engineers, attorney's, etc. who have exacting standards and are accustomed to great detail. To help communicate equally well with young beginners and experienced buyers Mr. Huntley has a broad academic and professional background.
